This Tuesday, September 17, the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) signed an unprecedented sponsorship agreement with Caixa Econômica Federal and Caixa Lotteries. The announcement, made at an event in Brasília with the presence of Caixa President Carlos Vieira and COB President Paulo Wanderley, confirmed an investment of R$ 160 million, the largest ever made by the companies.
The sponsorship will last until the end of the 2028 Olympic cycle, culminating in the Los Angeles Olympic Games. This amount will be directed towards the development of Olympic sports in Brazil, making possible the creation of the TOP COB program, which will transfer resources directly to federations, teams, and athletes, further strengthening the national sport.
In addition to directly supporting sports development, Caixa and Caixa Lotteries will be present at COB institutional events and on the social networks of Time Brasil, increasing their visibility and connection with the public. One of the highlights will be participation in the COB Expo, which takes place from September 25 to 29.
This sponsorship reinforces the companies' commitment to Brazilian sports, as they are already master sponsors of the Festival Parque Time Brasil, held during the Paris Olympic Games. Caixa's betting platform continues to allocate 1.7% of the lotteries’ gross revenue to COB, according to the Lotteries Law.
This new agreement marks an important step for national sports, ensuring essential resources for the preparation of Brazilian athletes over the next four years.
