Council members of Taubaté (SP) approved, this Tuesday (22), in the first vote, the law project aimed at creating a municipal lottery.
Now, the project must go through a second vote, so that it can then proceed to the mayor's approval. Out of the 15 council members who voted, 13 were in favor of the project and two opposed the creation of the 'Taubatean Lottery'.
The law project comes from Mayor José Saud (MDB) and aims at "gathering new resources for the coffers of the Municipality of Taubaté," which has been facing a severe financial crisis in recent months.
