According to information from Caixa Econômica Federal, no ticket matched all six numbers in Mega-Sena contest 2815, held on Tuesday (01/14). As a result, the R$ 34 million prize has rolled over and is now estimated at R$ 38 million. The contest 2816 draw is scheduled for this Thursday (01/16).

 

The drawn numbers were: 05 – 20 – 28 – 38 – 50 – 53.

 

The "quina" (five hits) had 38 winning tickets, each receiving R$ 75,919.13. The "quadra" (four hits) had 3,288 winning tickets, with each paying R$ 1,253.44.

 

 

Those looking to compete for the chance to become a millionaire should place their bets by 7:00 PM (Brasília time) on the day of the draw, selecting 6 to 20 numbers from the 60 available on the betting slip. Players can also opt for the system to pick numbers randomly ("Surpresinha") and/or enter the same numbers for 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, or 12 consecutive contests ("Teimosinha").

 

 

What are the odds of winning Mega-Sena’s grand prize?

Each 6-number bet costs R$ 5.00. The odds of hitting all six numbers with a single bet are 1 in 50,063,860. However, Mega-Sena allows players to select up to 20 numbers, with this bet costing over R$ 193,000. The odds of winning then improve to 1 in 1,292.

 

 

To claim prizes, players can visit a certified lottery retailer or a Caixa bank branch. Gross amounts exceeding R$ 2,259.20 can only be redeemed at the bank upon presenting a valid ID, CPF, and the winning ticket.
