To participate, bets must be placed by 7 PM (Brasília time) on the day of the draw at authorized lottery retailers or on the official Caixa website. There are 60 numbers available, and bets range from 6 to 20 numbers. The price for a 6-number bet is R$ 5.00. The more numbers you choose, the higher the cost of the bet and the greater your chances of winning. You can also use the "Surpresinha" option to let the system randomly choose your numbers, or compete with the same bet in 2, 4, or 8 consecutive draws using the "Teimosinha" feature.
What Are the Odds of Winning the Mega-Sena Jackpot?
The odds of hitting all six numbers with a simple 6-number bet are 1 in 50,063,860. However, Mega-Sena allows you to select up to 20 numbers, with this bet costing R$ 193,800.00, and the odds improving to 1 in 1,292.
Winners can claim their prizes at authorized lottery retailers or Caixa branches. Prizes exceeding R$ 2,259.20 can only be claimed at the bank by presenting valid identification, a CPF number, and the winning ticket.
